About Dzukou Valley Trek

Dzukou Valley, straddling the border of Nagaland and Manipur at 2,452 meters, is often called the "Valley of Flowers of the North East". Famous for its unique carpet of bamboo brush hills, winding icy streams, and rare Dzukou Lily.

Hike up via Viswema or Jakhama trails, camp in valley dorms or tents under starry Himalayan night skies, and witness breathtaking sunrise mist over rolling green hilltops.

Day-by-Day Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Dimapur to Kohima / Viswema Base

Stay: Homestay in Viswema

Pick up from Dimapur Airport/Station and drive to Viswema base near Kohima. Gear check and briefing.

Day 2

Trek to Dzukou Valley (Viswema Trail)

Stay: Camp / Rest House in Dzukou

Drive to trek point. Hike up steep stone steps for 2 hours to reach valley rim, followed by 3 hours flat walk through rolling bamboo hills to Dzukou Rest House.

Day 3

Dzukou Valley Exploration & Descend to Jakhama

Stay: Hotel in Kohima

Sunrise walk across valley floor to ghost caves and stream beds. Descend back down via Jakhama trail. Transfer to Kohima.

Day 4

Kohima to Dimapur Departure

Stay: Departure

Breakfast and check out. Transfer to Dimapur for return flight/train.
